LS Merchants 2023 Great Southern Land

A blend of Waldron and 470 Shiraz clones, bringing a range of flavours you might not expect from an Aussie Shiraz. Fruit-driven, fresh, crunchy acidity and plush tannins. Made for easy drinking.

Harvested in the early morning, the fruit was transferred to open fermenters, gently hand-plunged for three days, then put through a series of rack-and-returns to build structure and palate weight. Extended post-ferment maceration lengthened the tannins, before 12 months in barrels.
