LS Merchants is a boutique Margaret River winery founded by winemaker Dylan Arvidson, who started it to feed his creativity and to play with varieties and blends that don’t always follow the rules.

Good fruit is the key to great wine.

They work with fruit from their own vineyard and source small, special parcels of fruit from like‑minded growers across Western Australia. From gnarly old vines in the Swan Valley to the ancient soils and winding rivers of Pemberton, Manjimup, the Blackwood Valley and Frankland River, each site brings something distinct to the glass.

In the winery, traditional techniques, new ideas, bold intuition and a little reckless experimentation all have a role to play. They take a minimal‑intervention approach: encouraging natural yeasts where possible, intervening when a challenging season requires it, and deciding whether to fine or filter each wine individually. The result is a broad, handcrafted range that reflects the fruit, place and character of each vintage.
