L.A.S. Vino
Luck. Art. Science.
L.A.S. Vino is Nic Peterkin’s wine pursuit, making delicious wines with curiosity, creativity and a sense of adventure.
"I've never seen the point in making the same wines that everyone else is" - Nic Peterkin
L.A.S. Vino is rooted in Margaret River, sourcing fruit from exceptional sites and collaborating where possible with growers who share its commitment to sustainable, organic and biodynamic farming. The focus is on expressive fruit and a clear sense of place: selecting the right site, harvesting by hand in the cool of early morning, and treating each parcel with the care needed to preserve freshness, aroma and individuality from vineyard to bottle.
Minimal intervention, maximum flavor.
The wines are made with a gentle, precise approach that lets variety and region speak in an individual voice. Fruit is hand-sorted, whole-bunch pressed and handled with restrained extraction; fermentations may be natural or thoughtfully guided, with maturation in carefully selected French oak, clay or other vessels where appropriate. Curiosity is central to the approach, from detailed small-batch trials with native flower yeasts to classic Margaret River expressions, always pursuing texture, energy, purity and wines with personality.
